Voices Of The Ages, Indeed

To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Irish folk legends the Chieftains are releasing a new album later this month, Voice of Ages, on which they collaborate with musicians of more recent vintage such as The Decemberists, Bon Iver, Carolina Chocolate Drops, the Low Anthem, and a bunch of bands I admit I've never heard of.

Here is a clip where the band's founder and leader Paddy Maloney talks about the album and working with these younger artists.

And click here to hear the Chieftains with the Decemberists perform a cover of Bob Dylan's "When the Ship Comes In."
