Jazz Interlude: Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers
Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers perform the Bobby Timmons classic Moanin' in 1958, the same year the archetypal hard bop album of the same name was released. This great incarnation of the Jazz Messengers consists of Lee Morgan on trumpet, Benny Golson on tenor sax, Bobby Timmons on piano, and Jymie Merritt on bass.
